Therapy dog training

This beginner's class teaches the dog to provide relief from depression and anxiety to humans in institutions such as nursing homes, schools and hospitals. Therapy dog training goes more in depth with basic commands and teaches the dog how to act appropriately in public facilities. Owning and working with therapy dogs can be extensive, yet extremely rewarding!

*Evaluation is required before being approved for class. 

After finishing the beginners course your pup will advance into this intermediate class. During these scheduled times we will visit different assisted living facilities and interact with residents. This class goes further in depth with basic obedience skills and maintaining appropriate behavior in public areas. The goal outcome of this class it to get your dog certified as an official therapy dog!
